<p>PURPOSE:To compress and volume reduce into a relatively regular, bellows- shaped and roughly flat state by forming a corrugated cardboard box where the groove direction of the corrugating medium of all corrugated cardboard members of its side surfaces is orthogonal to the compression direction. CONSTITUTION:Waste is stored in a corrugated cardboard box where the groove 22 direction of the corrugating medium 20 of all corrugated cardboard members of box side surfaces 28, 30, 32, 34 is orthogonal to the compression direction, and is compressed to reduce the volume of a corrugated cardboard box and the waste. An opening 35 from which waste is input is provided so as to be always positioned on the top side of the box. By compressing the box in a direction orthogonal to the direction of the grooves 22 in the corrugating medium 20, the box is deformed easily into a corrugated shape. Since waste is generally easier to deform by applying load than a corrugated cardboard box, waste volume can be compressed and reduced in volume with the box by throwing it in a corrugated cardboard box from the opening 35 and compressing it, thus preventing an irregular shape due to buckling or breakage from being generated.</p> |
