METHOD FOR FORMING COATING FILM OF WINDOW PART AND FUNCTIONAL COATING FILM OF FRAME PART ON SUBSTRATE

PURPOSE:To provide the method for forming coating films of plural window parts existing on conductive circuits of a transparent substrate having the plural conductive circuits and coating films having functionability (for example, light shieldability) of the frame parts embedding the parts exclusive of these window parts on this transparent substrate with good accuracy. CONSTITUTION:A positive type or negative type photoresist 3 is applied over the entire surface of the transparent substrate 1 having the conductive circuits 2. A mask having such patterns as to provide the coating films 6 covering the parts of the frame parts without covering the parts of the window parts 4 is superposed on the surface of the coating film in a next developing stage and is then subjected to exposing and developing. The coating film 6 of the parts of the frame parts is heat treated. The light shielding coating films are formed in the plural window parts 4 existing on the conductive circuits by electrodeposition coating on the transparent substrate 1 obtd. by the stages described above and only the coating films cured by the heat treatment are removed. The negative type photoresist is applied over the entire surface of the transparent substrate obtd. by the stages described above to form the coating film which is then exposed from the rear surface. The uncured parts which are not exposed as the coating films 5 of the light shieldable window parts exist are removed.
