PURPOSE:To enable a packing ring to be reliably held in a connecting pipe by means of only a locking protrusion by omitting a connecting protrusion in the conventional pipe joint. CONSTITUTION:Since a locking protrusion 5 is protruded on the radial direction inner side beyond the neutral position C of the area moment of the cross section in the radial direction in the optional circular-arc range of a packing ring, any moment for inconveniently rotating the packing ring by taking an inner edge 8 of the locking protrusion 5 as a supporting point is not generated even if the packing to be engaged with this locking protrusion 5, and made of elastic materials receives relative high fluid pressure in a piping 2 in using.
