<p>The invention provides compounds of formula: <CHEM> wherein R and R<1> independently represent hydrogen, optionally halogenated alkyl alkenyl or alkynyl; -(-CR<3>R<4>)n-(optionally subtituted phenyl); -(-CR<3>R<4>)nHet; or -(-CR<3>R<4>)n-Ar, wherein Ar is an optionally substituted bicycle; wherein at least one of the groups R and R<1> represents -(-CR<3>R<4>)n-Ar; R<2> represents R<5> or optionally substituted phenyl; X is oxygen or sulphur; m is 0, 1, 2 or 3; R<3> and R<4>, independently represent hydrogen, alkyl or haloalkyl; R<5> is halogen, optionally halogenated alkyl, alkenyl or alkynyl; or a group selected from cyano, nitro, -CO2R<6>, -S(O)pR<6>, -NR<3>R<4>, -COR<6>, -S(O)pR<7>, -CO2R<7>, -OR<7>, -CONR<3>R<4>, -OSO2R<7>, -OSO2R<8>, -OCH2R<7>, -N(R<3>)COR<8>, -N(R<3>)SO2R<8>, -N(R<3>)SO2R<7>, -SO2NR<3>R<4>, -Si(R<8>)3 and -OR<6>; n is zero, 1 or 2; q is zero or an integer from 1 to 5; Het represents an optionally substituted heterocycle; R<6> represents hydrogen, alkyl or haloalkyl; p is zero, one or two; r is one or two; R<7> represents optionally substituted phenyl; R<8> represents alkyl or haloalkyl; R<6><1> and R<6><2> independently represent hydrogen, halogen, alkyl or haloalkyl; and agriculturally acceptable salts thereof; which possess utility as herbicides.</p> |
