A device for stretching an elastically expandable body (1), wherein the device comprises a stiff tube (2) over which at least part of the elastically expandable body (1) is arranged to be applied when being stretched. The device comprises at least one sliding element (3) designed to be located in at least that end of the body (1) where the application of the tube starts, to facilitate the application of the body (1) onto the tube (2).
