A PC message displaying method wherein message displaying functions for every language are provided and by which the efficiency of executing programs is improved. In a means (1) for storing messages written in respective languages, provided are plurality of regions (1a-1c) for storing messages separately. In the regions (1a-1c), the messages written in the respective languages, whose meanings are the same, are stored in the areas at the corresponding addresses. When switching on the power supply of a PC, a means (3) for transferring messages transfers the messages written in one of the languages specified by a parameter (2) beforehand from the means (1) to a means (4) for storing the messages written in the language. Then, a means (5) for selecting a message specifies the message to be displayed on the screen during the operation of the PC, by specifying the address corresponding to the meaning of the message. Then, a means (6) for displaying messages fetches the message from the area of the specified address in the means (4), and displays the message on the screen of a display device (7). <IMAGE> |
