<p>PURPOSE:To obtain novel hepatocyte useful for medicinal metabolism tests or toxicity and carcinogenicity evaluation tests. CONSTITUTION:The established subculturable hepatic cell is obtained by fusing a subculturable hepatic cell strain to a hepatocyte collected from a living body and has a high medicinal metabolic activity. This hepatic cell is prepared by, e.g. the cell fusion of a normal hepatic cell of a rat to a hepatic cell strain derived from an existing rat hepatic cancer. Furthermore, the hepatic cell is obtained by a method for fusing the cell membrane with PEG or a Sendai virus or destroying a part of the cell membrane with electric pulses, then fusing the cell membrane, etc.</p> |
