PURPOSE:To improve the high speed action characteristic of a circuit by connecting a semiconductor element between the output terminal of a delay circuit and that of a switch circuit, connecting the output of the delay circuit of the output terminal of a limitter circuit, and delaying an input with adjusting it to the delay time of the circuit. CONSTITUTION:A first clamping circuit 1 controls DC component fluctuation due to the mean video level fluctuation of a picture signal. The clamped picture signal is compared with a reference voltage VREF in a comparator 2. When a video level exceeds VREF1, a pulse with a time width equal to the exceeded time is outputted. The switch circuit 4 is turned on and off in accordance with the pulse width by the pulse signal which a second clamping circuit 3 is clamped, and a diode 5 is caused to execute a large amplitude action. Since the signal is delayed until the diode 5 executes the large amplitude action, phases are completely adjusted by synthesizing it with the picture signal which is passed through a delay circuit 6 giving the delay of the same time, and the excessive input parts of the input signal can securely and strongly by limited. |
