PURPOSE: To evaluate an amino guanidine and the nature of its homologous body simply and precisely by protein-eliminating biological samples supposed to include amino guanidine or its homologous body, converting it into pyridine aldehyde or its homologous body, and separating replacement hydrazone from the residual reaction mixture. CONSTITUTION: A biological sample supposed to include a slight amount of amino guanidine or its homologous body, for example, a sample to be selected from a group made of plasma, urine, and tissue is treated, is protein-eliminated, and is reacted with pyridine aldehyde made of a sufficient amount of aldehyde, amino guanidine or its homologous body existing in the sample changes to the corresponding pyridine aldehyde replacement hydrazone, and the produced replacement hydrazone is separated from the residual reaction mixture by means of high-pressure liquid chromatography using solution. And, that separated material is tested, and the quantity and nature of amino guanidine and/or its homologous body are evaluated. |
