The electromagnetic valve unit has a hydraulically controlled non-return valve element (4) and an electromagnetically controlled valve element (3), operated independently. Both valve elements are contained within the valve bore (2) of the electromagnetically controlled valve element. Pref., the valve body (6) is received in a valve housing with a cooperating shoulder (9) and has a central pressure medium bore (11) controlled by the electromagnetic valve element and an offset bore controlled by the non-return valve element.
