PURPOSE:To manufacture a molded product of superior strength and quality by heat softening a foamed polypropylene sheet in a heating zone, stretching the sheet in the direction crossing square the carrying direction of the sheet, and then forming the sheet in the forming zone. CONSTITUTION:A forming line comprises a heating zone A for heat softening a foamed polypropylene sheet 31, a stretching zone C and a forming zone B. Both ends of the sheet 31 are clamped continuously by carrier chains 40-42 and carried in respective zones A-C. The width interval of chains 40-42 is set as the width of a raw fabric sheet 31 in the heating zone A and the width is stretched following the advancement of the carrying in the stretching zone C and set to the stretched sheet width in the forming zone B. The sheet 31 forming the wavy state in the heating zone A is stretched in the width direction and formed flat by the arrangement. It is preferable that the stretched sheet 31 is vacuum preformed by using a female mold in the forming zone, and then mold clamped by a male mold and formed in the forming zone B. |
