The present invention relates to a device for preventing a door hinge from escaping from its pins. This device is composed essentially of an elastically deformable metal blank bent in the form of a U, the bow-shaped part (11) of which catches elastically in an orifice (12) made in a first hinge element (1) and of which one of the branches or first branch (13) has a free end (14) which is bent towards the outside of the U and which is equipped with a hole, through which a pin passes, and bears on the second hinge element (3) in order to retain it in the position assembled together with the first element (1).
