PURPOSE:To miniaturize this unit as well as to shorten a span of air bag unfolding time. CONSTITUTION:An air bag 11 is divided into three chambers, a front chamber 11a, an intermediate chamber 11b and a rear chamber 11c, and when a fact that a seat 17 is set a little frontward is detected by a seat position detecting means 18, a gas supply to the rear chamber 11c is cut off, and these front and intermediate chambers 11a and 11b are merely inflated as well as when a fact that the seat 17 is set a little rearward is detected, the gas supply to the front chamber 11a is cut off, and merely the intermediate chamber 11b and the rear chamber 11c are formed so as to be inflated. |
