PURPOSE:To make an external lead terminal and a board abut on each other accurately with the appropriate positional relation to each other by forming the external lead terminal into a clip-shape, and forming a notch part in a pad on the board to make the external lead terminal abut on the notch part. CONSTITUTION:A desired number of pad 2 are properly provided on the peripheries of both upper and lower surfaces of a board 1 made of the required material. The pad(s) 2 on any one or both of the upper and the lower surfaces of this board 1 is/are provided with a notch part 3 having predetermined dimension and shape. An external lead is installed to this board 1 under the following configuation. Namely, a clip-like terminal 4 on the tip of the external lead is installed so as to pinch the corresponding pads 2, and on the upper side of the board 1, the terminal 4 is positioned in the notch 3 inside the pad 2, and on the lower side of the board 1, the clip-like terminal 4 is made to abut on the surface of the pad 2. The board 1 under this condition is dipped in solder so as to achieve more secure connection. |
