In a bag, in particular for receiving toiletries, such as makeup removing pads or cotton wool, having a filling opening in the region of an end face of the bag, and having a removal opening in the region of an end face of the bag, and having a retaining flap for the contents, which flap at least partially covers the free bag cross-section in the region of the removal opening when the bag is full, the invention proposes that the retaining flap is designed as a separate component independently of any end face which may be present, which component is arranged lying flatly against the inner side of the bag prior to the bag being filled. In this way, a bag is provided which can be produced in a cost-effective manner, can be filled automatically, and is easy to handle by the user.
