PURPOSE:To produce a grain-oriented silicon steel sheet excellent in productivity compared to that of the conventional one and having good iron loss properties. CONSTITUTION:In the method for producing a grain-oriented silicon steel sheet in which a grain-oriented silicon steel hot rolled sheet contg., by weight, <=0.10% C, 2.5 to 7.0% Si and ordinary inhibitor components, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is subjected to hot rolled sheet annealing, is subjected to cold rolling ate >=50% draft, is subjected to decarburizing annealing and is thereafter subjected to final finish annealing, the cold rolling is executed by a tandem mill with plural stands. Furthermore, the strip rolled to a final product thickness is subjected to heating treatment to >=700 deg.C at <=80 deg.C/sec heating rate before the decarburizing annealing is executed. In this way, the silicon steel sheet is produced. |
