<p>PURPOSE: To restore cells of the same connection, which can outstrip one another, in their original sequence before retransmission without requiring complicated synchronization. CONSTITUTION: Each input device adds labels of a first classification (sequence number) to cells to discriminate the sequence of cells, and each output device is provided with a buffer device 1 where cells to be outputted are buffered, and a minimum delay time is introduced by shift register parts 1 to (d) and the output is not taken out if the period of stay of a cell in the buffer device is shorter than the preliminarily determined minimum delay time, and these parts of the buffer device 1 are checked to determine whether a cell written later should be outputted first or not by comparison 7 based on labels of the first classification.</p> |
