PURPOSE:To provide a plate for enabling extension of the life of a thin type lead-acid battery by increasing the adhesiveness between a collector consisting of lead or a sheet of lead alloy, and an active material. CONSTITUTION:After a first active material paste, to which a self-leveling agent consisting of beta-naphthalene sulfonic acid formalin condensation product is added, is applied to collectors 1a, 2a each consisting of a sheet of lead or of lead alloy, the first active material paste is dried, and first active material layers 1b, 2b are formed. After a second active material paste for forming an active material for increasing the capacity of a battery is applied to the first active material layers 1b, 2b, the second active material paste is dried, and second material layers 1c, 2c are formed. |
