PURPOSE:To easily recognize the timing of part replenishment so as to properly carry out a replenishing operation by a method wherein a notice is indicated at the time when the electronic parts housed in an electronic part feeder are decreased in number to a certain value. CONSTITUTION:When electronic parts housed in a part feed hopper 1 are reduced in number and their top level is lower than the level of the optical axis 5c of a photoelectric switch, light emitted from a light projector 5a enters a photodetector 5b to close the photoelectric switch of the part feed hopper 1, and the signal is sent to a main control through the intermediary of a residual part detector. The main control discriminates which part feed hopper 1 sends the detected signal concerned and sends control signals to a lamp drive part so as to turn on the lamp 6 of the part feed hopper 1 concerned. By this setup, the lamp 6 of the part feed hopper 1 wherein the residual parts are small in number is tuned ON to inform an operator that the part feed hopper 1 should be replenished with parts. |
