Producing copper alloy strip coated with thick layer of brittle copper-phosphorus solder alloy

Prodn. of a copper (alloy) strip coated on one or both side with a cold brittle copper-phosphorus solder alloy comprises preheating a 0.25-1.5 mm thick copper-phosphorus alloy strip under protective gas at 150-300 deg.C before roll plating on a copper (alloy) strip in a single pass at 150-250 deg.C with a min deformation of the composite strip of 50%. Finally it is diffusion annealed at 400-500 deg.C for at least 1 hrs under a protective gas.
