摘要 A method and apparatus for determining an altitude for a radar fuze (10). The method includes the steps of receiving a return signal (77) and transmitting a transmitted signal (76). The return signal (77) and the transmitted signal (76) are mixed and a mixed signal (44) representing an altitude is responsively generated therefrom. The mixed signal (44) is amplified (18) to generate an amplified signal (45). The amplified signal (45) is filtered to generate a filtered signal (48) which is envelope detected to provide a detected signal (54) responsive to the filtered signal (48). The detected signal (54) is integrated responsively to the detected signal (54). The integrated signal level (56) is compared against a track threshold reference signal (59) and a track/no-track comparator signal (58) is provided responsively to the integrated signal level (56) and the track threshold reference signal (59). System timing is controlled by generating a plurality of control signals (68) responsive to the track/no-track comparator signal (58) and proportional to an altitude (100). A modulation signal (70) responsive to the plurality of control signals (68) is provided wherein the modulation signal (70) is representative of an altimeter range as determined by the plurality of control signals (68). The transmitted signal (76) is generated responsively to the modulation signal (70).
