PURPOSE:To retreat a charged member such as a charged roller and/or a transfer roller from the fixed position to facilitate the fitting/ removal of a cartridge to/from a device body and clean the charged member effectively with simple constitution in an image forming device especially of a cartridge system although unlimited to this. CONSTITUTION:An image forming device is provided with a means for retreating a charged member from an image carrier 5-1 according to the start/stop of the main driving force of the image forming device, according to the insertion/ removal of a cartridge 5 to/from a device body, or according to the division release action in a two-piece system device. Or the image forming device is provided with a means for cleaning a charging means 7 and also a means for displacing the cleaning means in the axial direction of the image carrier 5-1; or a means for operating the displacement means reacting copying function reset action or the transmission/stop of the turning force of the device body. |
