The present invention provides a sanitary napkin (10) which comprises a side barrier (14) incorporating an elastic member (16) and disposed in each side of the sanitary napkin, and a wing portion (15) disposed outwardly of the side barrier. The side barrier is configured to be separated from the respective wing portion.
