DIOL DERIVATIVES AND ITS PROCESS

摘要

Imidediol cpd. of formula (I) is new. Also claimed is the prepn. of (I) which comprises (a) reacting pyromelitic acid or its anhydride with monoethanolamine of more than 2.2 mole times the acid or the anhydride in the presence of an organic polar solvent at 120-150 deg.C for 5-10 hr(s); (b) removing the exceed monoethanolamine in the obtd. precipitate; and (c) vacuum-drying it at more than 100 deg.C. The solvent is pref. dimethyl acetamide, dimethylformamide or dimethylsulfoxide.
