The apparatus is for enhancing the performance of a circuit for separating brightness and color signal from NTCS signal using secondary adaptive line comb filter. The apparatus comprises a brightness collelation detector (100) for detecting with subtracters (40)(50) a mutual relation between the input line data and the line data delayed by delay circuits (20)(30), a color correlation detector (110) for detecting the mutual relation by adding input line data to delayed line data, a color processing part (130) for producing color signal by filtering the delayed line data or the output signals of the subtracters according to the outputs of correlation detectors (100)(110).
