PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-resistant optical film suitable as the base film of a transparent electrode in use for a liquid crystal display element, and excellent in surface smoothness and appearance. CONSTITUTION:At least one surface of a polyethersulfone film obtd. by melt- extrusion is coated with an ultraviolet-curing resin having a glass transition temperature of at least 80 deg.C to form a coating layer of at most 5mum in thickness, which is then cross-linked. Subsequently, at least one coating layer is polished to reduce the maximum protrusion height to at most 2mum. |
