<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a multistage bar code reader in which reading cabability is improved and erroneous reading can be reduced as the multistage bar code reader provided with a right block and a left block, and which reads a bar code comprised in multiple stages. CONSTITUTION:This reader is comprised by providing a detection modulation circuit 11 provided with the right block and the left block and which demodulates by detecting a multistage bar code comprised of (n) stages, a bar code edit circuit 12 which finds one piece of bar code datum from a demodulation signal outputted from the detection demodulation circuit 11 and checks a modulus, and a judging circuit 13 on which the edit result of the bar code data edit circuit 12 is added and which judges the fact that (n) pieces of right block data and that of left block data as the edit result exist, respectively, and (n) pieces of data for which the modulus is checked as OKed exist, and (n-1) pieces of serial data exist. and the left block data are different from each other, and furthermore, the right block data are different from each other, and outputs a reading OK signal.</p> |
