PURPOSE:To realize a steering gear of a vehicle capable of responding minutely to the driver's demand, regarding a steering gear which accomplishes variable control of steering assist power of the vehicle in repsonse to the driver's demand. CONSTITUTION:A driving tendency coefficient determining means 100 finds a driver's driving tendency coefficient from a selection signal, which indicates the driver's demand for steering power through a voice recognition portion 20, and various parameter indicating the running condition through an input portion 30 by means of using a hierarchy type neural net work by learning. This driving tendency coefficient is input into an assist power calculation portion 60 together with the various parameter from the input portion 30 and the assist power is calculated by the hierarchy type neural net work. Steering assist power is generated by a assist power generating device 70 in acordance with the calculated assist power. |
