Insulating glass panels, the individual glass panes (14) of which are spaced and adhesively secured together by a plastic spacer (17), are assembled by applying the strip-like spacer (17) along the edges of a first glass pane (14), sealing the remaining gap between the ends of the spacer (17), bending at least one of the two glass panes (14) elastically along a part of its periphery and securing it with the spacer (17) to the other pane (14) in such a way that a gap remains open between the spacer (17) and the second pane in the region of the bend. The two glass panes are then pressed together and only then is the bend in one of them released. |
