PURPOSE:To obtain an electrothermal transfer recording medium which can be used regeneratively, can obtain an excellent image quality thermal transfer print by repetitive use for a long period, has sufficient flexibility, and is excellent in mechanical strength, heat resistance, and thermal stability. CONSTITUTION:An electrothermal transfer recording medium is obtained by providing an amorphous silicon-containing layer 2 which is obtained by burning a film consisting of at least polysiloxane and electroconductive powder and is 10<-1>-10<3>OMEGA.cm in a volumetric specific resistance at 23 deg.C or by providing a powdery ink holding layer 4 further on the other surface of the metal base material. |
