PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet recording method capable of forming a clear image even on a plain paper, free from clogging even after a long-period standing in a state where printing work is suspended and capable of keeping the stability of a printing head and to provide an ink composition therefor. CONSTITUTION:This ink composition for ink jet recording contains 0.2 to 10wt.% water-soluble dye as a colorant, 0.05 to 10wt.% anionic surfactant containing one or more kinds of cations selected from lithium cation, quaternary ammonium cation and quaternary phosphonium cation as a counter ion and 30 to 95wt.% water. |
