PURPOSE:To allow an anisotropic Fe-Cr-Co type magnet alloy to stably show its max. magnetic characteristics by aging the alloy in a magnetic field at a specified temp. or below in two stages with slow cooling. CONSTITUTION:In order to convert an anisotropic Fe-Cr-Co type magnet alloy consisting of Cr 23-35%, Co 5-20% and the balance Fe into a permanent magnet, it is aged in a magnetic field at a temp. of 650 deg.C to the two phase separation temp. Next, while being slowly cooled to 620 deg.C or below at a cooling rate of 0.05-10 deg.C/ min in the same field, the alloy is aged to induce two phase separation reaction. The alloy may be heated to the two phase separation temp. or above in a furnace, shifted into other furnace held at the two phase separation temp. or below, and cooled in a magnetic field. The magnetic characteristics of the magnet alloy contg. a relatively small amt. of expensive Co can be shown to the maximum. |
