The procedure for filling a dispenser, eg a nasal inhaler, with a single dose of a fluid, consists of using a filler with a sliding shutter (55) to deliver the fluid from a reservoir (51) by means of a pump (P). The shutter has a cavity (55) which is large enough to contain a single dose of fluid, and it can be moved between two positions - one in which it receives the fluid from the reservoir, and the other in which the fluid dose from the cavity is ejected into the dispenser by a pressure piston (59) and a rod (63) which follows it to ensure that the channel (58) through which the fluid passes into the dispenser is emptied. ADVANTAGE - More reliable and precise control of fluid dose.
