ROTATION TYPE MEDIUM HOUSING RACK

PURPOSE:To provide the rotation type medium housing rack which decreases the loss of access time by having a cell drum which is provided rotatably on a base and is formed with plural cells in multiple stages on its cylindrical surface and in a circumferential direction. CONSTITUTION:A control section 8 of this rotation type medium housing rack stops a cell drum driving motor 5 by receiving the signal from a detection section 6 and drives a stopper part 7 to prohibit the rotation of the cell drum 1. The control section drives an accessor 4 to put the recording media into and out of the cells 3 of the cell drum 1. The state of prohibiting the rotation of the cell drum 1 is released by driving the stopper part upon ending of the putting in and out of the recording media.
