PURPOSE:To provide the method and device for image processing which detect corner absence fast with high precision. CONSTITUTION:An image 11 to be inspected is expanded once vertically and in parallel by using a 1st logic filter to obtain an image 16. The object image 11 is expanded twice by 45 deg. by using a 2nd logic filter to obtain an image 15. Then, the image 16 is subtracted from the image 15. Then, corner absence of the object image 11 is detected according to whether or not there is the remaining signal of the difference. Similar processes are simultaneously performed for the right lower, left lower, and left upper parts as the remaining three corners of a rectangle to detect corner absence of the object image 11. |
