PURPOSE:To accelerate the divisional copying of a dual-page original. CONSTITUTION:The first half part of the original 8 is arranged on an original platen glass 7 first by an original supply device including a leading-in roller 2, a resist roller 3 and a carrying belt 1. Under such a state, first mirror scanning is executed and the first half part of the original 8 is copied (b). At this time, the leading edge of the original 8 is detected by an original position sensor 6 and the carrying quantity of the original 8 is counted and decided by a carrying quantity timer. Thereafter, the original 8 is moved further by the original supply device and the second half part of the original 8 is arranged on the original platen. Under such a state, second mirror scanning is executed and the second half part of the original is copied (c). Therefore, the original need not be switched back when it is supplied as in the conventional manner and the moving quantity of the mirror of a mirror scanning time can be drastically reduced. Thus, the speed of a job can be largely improved. |
