PURPOSE:To obtain a felt for the filter bag having dimensional stability and durability when used in collecting dust even under severe conditions by using a polyphenylene sulfide-fiber fabric with the specified heat contraction rate and cover factor of the warp and weft as a foundation and laminating a web on both sides of the foundation. CONSTITUTION:The felt consists essentailly of a polyphenylene sulfide fiber, the heat contration rate at 180 deg.C in the warp direction is controlled to 0-0.8%, the warp cover factor to 500-1100 and the weft cover factor to 300-800, and the sum of both cover factors is adjusted to 900-1600. The polyphenylene sulfide- fiber fabric is used as the foundation, and a web is laminated on both sides of the foundation to form the felt. |
