PICTURE DETECTOR AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE: To obtain an image detector which is held by separate substrates to be mounted mutually by defining an insulation space between a photo detector array and an electromagnetic radiation conversion layer to provide a better electric separation between the photo detector array and the electromagnetic radiation conversion layer. CONSTITUTION: A detector 1 comprises a first substrate 10 which supports an electromagnetic radiation conversion layer 11 to convert an incoming electromagnetic radiation having a first range of wavelength to an outgoing electromagnetic radiation having a second different range of wavelength and a photo detector array 21 which is supported on a second substrate 20 to respond to a second range of wavelength for detecting the outgoing electromagnetic radiation emitted by the conversion layer 11. The second substrate 20 is mounted on the first substrate 10 by a mounting means 40 for demarcating an insulation space 50 for better electric separation between the photo detector array 21 and the conversion layer 11.
