<p>PURPOSE:To ensure that stapling process is performed at any selected position in the width direction of a sheet by a simple mechanism. CONSTITUTION:This sheet processing device, arranged at the lateral side of a main duplicator system, processes a sheet discharged from said system. In addition, the device is equipped with a bin 25, a stapler 58, a process movement means including a motor, and a sheet movement means including a handle unit for processing. The bin stores a sheet discharged from the main duplicator system. The stapler is arranged at the upstream side of a direction where the sheet is discharged from the bin so that the stapler moves freely in a sheet width direction which crosses the discharge direction. The process movement means moves the stapler 58 in the sheet width direction. The sheet movement means takes out the sheet stored in the bin 25 to a processing position on the stapler 58 and at the same time, returns the sheet processed by the stapler 58 to the bin 25.</p> |
