PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a reversible thermosensitive layer by allowing image-like toner or carrier to generate heat, heating the thermosensitive layer and forming an image. CONSTITUTION:In the case that the recording image is obtained on a thermosensitive display body 8, an electrostatic charge image is formed by uniformly and electrostatically charging the surface of a photosensitive body 1, first. Besides, the electrostatic charge image is formed by exposing the image and developed. By bringing the display body 8 into contact with the surface of the body 1 after the developing and simultaneously irradiating it with light from the back surface side of the display body 8, the toner or the carrier is allowed to generate heat and the thermosensitive layer of the display body 8 is heated by the heat. Then, the image is displayed. In such a case, the display body 8 is obtained by forming a thermosensitive recording layer on a supporting body (substrate) and moved so that the thermosensitive recording layer is positioned on the body 1 side. The quality of the material of the supporting body is not specially restricted. However, a polyvinyl chloride film, a polyethylen film, glass or the like is mentioned. A light source is not also restricted. It is good that the light source having such wavelength that the toner or the like generates heat by receiving the light thereof. Therefore, the life of the thermosensitive display body is prolonged without receiving damage caused by heat or pressure. |
