摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To measure the temperature and the dose over the total length of a power cable under the radiation circumstances and to easily install or change the power cable by installing each fiber optic sensor for measuring the temperature distribution and for measuring the radiation dose distribution together with the power cable. CONSTITUTION:A tension member 4 is set at the axial center of a cable 1, with a spacer 6 provided in the periphery thereof. A plurality of grooves 5 are formed in the spacer 6. A fiber optic sensor 2 for measuring the temperature distribution and a fiber optic sensor 3 for measuring the radiation dose distribution are accommodated in any one of the grooves 5. A tape 7 is wound around the spacer 6 to retain the optical fibers 2, 3, which is further covered with a sheath 8. The sensor 2 introduces the pulse laser light from one end thereof and detects the temperature distribution along an extension axis from the intensity of the back scattering light. Meanwhile, the sensor 3 guides the pulse laser light from one end thereof, and takes out the light of two or more wavelength regions among the back scattering light, thereby detecting the spatial dose distribution with time from the increasing amount of the transmission loss.</p>
