PURPOSE:To enable a driver to concentrate his mind on the driving of a car for safety driving, without looking at a display set up in a dashboard during car driving, by driving this car after looking an intersection number being reflected in front of the windshield and its traveling direction arrow displayed, which shows a direction the car should travel ahead. CONSTITUTION:In a car navigation system, a driver specifies a direction which a car should travel ahead at an intersection in advance, and during car traveling, on the basis of the information, each time the car enters the intersection, information of whether going straight or turning to right or left is projected by a projector 12 composed of a fluorescent character display tube or LCD or the like. The projecting light is projected to a half mirror 13 installed on the windshield of the car, thus a virtual image is reflected in front of the windshield as its constitution. |
