<p>A machine having a reciprocating punch for forming objects comprises means (73, 74) for transforming a rotating movement from a crankshaft (71) to a first reciprocating movement. The machine moreover comprises a wedge mechanism (77, 78) adapted to transform the first reciprocating movement to a second reciprocating movement. The wedge mechanism (77, 78) and the crank (71) are oriented so that forming of the material takes place about the extreme position which gives the lowest possible material working rate for a given speed of rotation of the crankshaft (71).</p> |
