PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of interference fringes and to obtain high surface hardness and durability by providing a hard coating film having the refractive index approximately equal to the refractive index of a base material lens on the high-refractive index synthetic resin lens. CONSTITUTION:A coating compsn. essentially consisting of a component A, component B and component C is applied on the base material having about 1.60 refractive index and is cured The component A is a colloidal dispersion of composite particulates of 1 to 30mum formed by treating the composite particulates constituted of inorg. oxides of Ce, Ti and Si by an org. silicon compd. The component B is an org. silicon compd. expressed by formula I or the hydrolyzate thereof. The component C is an org. silicon compd. expressed by formula II or the hydrolyzate thereof. In the formulas I and II, R<1> denotes 1 to 6C hydrocarbon group, vinyl group, mercapto group, etc.; R<2> denotes 1 to 4C hydrocarbon group; R denotes 1 to 8C hydrocarbon group, alkoxyalkyl group, etc., (a) denotes 0 or 1. |
