PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a zoom lens which restrains eccentricity aberration accompanying a change of the prism apex angle of a variable apex angle prism when performing vibration control by changing the prism apex angle using the variable apex angle prism, and with which a high-performance image can be obtained at the time of vibration control. SOLUTION: The zoom lens has a first lens group of positive refractive power, a second lens group of negative refractive power for variable power, a third lens group of negative refractive power to correct variation of an image side position accompanying variable power, and a fourth lens group of positive refractive power, sequentially from the object side to the image side. The first lens group is constituted by a front part system of negative refractive power, a moving part system of positive refractive power to move for focusing, and a back part systems of positive refractive power. The back part system has a front lens group and a back lens group, and has therebetween a variable apex angle prism whose apex angle is variable. The front lens group has a junction lens.
