PURPOSE:To shorten the time attaining a copy enable state and to obtain an excellent copied image even at a first copy by providing a rotation control means for rotating a roller before starting fixing so that the surface temperature of a pressure roller may CONSTITUTION:The rotation control means 27 for a fixing roller 13 is provided to preliminarily rotate the roller 13 at higher speed than ordinary paper feeding speed before starting the fixing. Therefore, the temperature rise of the pressure roller 15 is accelerated and the time attaining the copying performable state is shortened, then the excellent copied image is obtained even at the first copy. Since the rotating speed and the rotating time of preliminary rotation are set based on the time when the roller 13 attains a specified temperature, the time attaining the copying performable state is made identical without being influenced by environment. Furthermore, the rotation control means 2T for the roller 13 is provided and the preliminary rotation is executed at the maximum feeding speed of plural paper feeding speeds, so that the time attaining the copying performable state is drastically shortened. |
