A multi-component dental implant for installing and fixing a prosthesis (12) on a bone. The implant includes a superstructure with a shank (5) which is made radially expandable by longitudinal slots. A row of balls is arranged in said shank and the end ball abuts a tapered portion of the shank whereby it may expand or be released. The row of balls may be moved by operating a screw (10) provided near the free end of the stub of the superstructure. Said implant may be accurately fixed in the implant holder (1) and easily withdrawn if necessary. |
