PURPOSE:To excellently correct current position data of a vehicle by correcting the installation position of a road beacon by using information in a memory stored with the correlation coefficient when the current position of the vehicle set by a vehicle position setting means and the current position of the vehicle are set respectively. CONSTITUTION:The vehicle position error between a position of the vehicle estimated from the current position and the actual vehicle position is set on a lateral axis, the coefficient gamma of correlation with road network data is calculated on the basis of the estimated vehicle position, and the probability that the vehicle position matches a link is set on a longitudinal axis. When the vehicle position error is small, an optimum vehicle position is securely obtained on the link as the coefficient gamma between the estimated vehicle position and a road pattern is repeatedly calculated during a short-time travel. Therefore, a control judgement part 21 stores the memory 27 with the correlation coefficient gamma, position coordinates, and the frequency of acquisition when a beacon receiver obtains a position signal, and uses them to correct the predicted position of the beacon, and corrects the vehicle position at need. |
