PURPOSE:To provide a negative electrode plate for sealed type lead-acid battery less likely to have a heat run-away phenomenon. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic fiber addition agent 3 which is 0.2 to 1 weight percent with respect to the total amount of lead powder is added to and mixed with an active material 1 to thereby form in a surface 1a of the active material 1 recessions and projections intended to suppress the deformation of the active material at the time of overcharge and thereby prevent occurrence of heat run-away phenomenon. |
