摘要 From the key and the code algorithm, dependent upon the number of coincidences generated in the chip card and in the security module of the terminal and alternatively also transmitted to the other partner, an authorisation parameter is formed and for test purposes is transmitted to the other partner, where a comparison of the two authorisation parameters out of the same number of coincidences is carried out. Starting from a first comparison in the chip card of a first authorisation parameter dependent upon a coincidence count (V2) generated in the terminal second authorisation parameters (AP2, AP2') are formed. The second authorisation parameter (AP2) formed in the chip card is transmitted to the terminal dependent upon the a positive comparison result arising from the first comparison. This gives rise to the prodn. of an optical and/or acoustic test signal (AS). USE/ADVANTAGE - Test procedure for terminal communicating with chip cards, in which user of card can ascertain whether terminal is working unmanipulatedly.
